I was very lucky this winter. I got to capture not one, but two weddings! During the Valentine’s Day weekend, I drove through the Laurentides to get to Sarah and Frederic’s magical winter wedding at Hôtel Mont-Gabriel.
Located at the top of the mountain, just right by the ski station, the venue offers an astonishing view on the landscape. With the heavy snow that was falling outside, all the conditions were reunited to gift them with an unforgettable day! The date of their wedding had an important signification for the lovebirds. Not only was it marking their tenth year of love together, but it was also the death anniversary of Frederic’s father. The couple decided to honour his memory by bringing their relationship to the next level and making their two families become one.
The day was filled with emotions, but what struck me the most was these beautiful people’s happiness and contagious laughter. Whether it was by watching the PyeongChang Olympics with the guys while they were getting ready, when we braved the snow storm to do their creative portraits outside or during the party in the late evening, every minute spent with them was enjoyable! If every wedding could go as smoothly as theirs, I’d be the happiest photographer in the world! 🙂
